Taurus Rising

Last night, I was reading through Mary K. Greer’s book Tarot for Your Self.  There was an exercise that involved picking out cards that you’re drawn to.  Now, I am relatively new to all things Tarot, so I don’t know the meanings or interpretations for most of the cards.  However, I found myself drawn to The Empress.

After reading the Appendix in the back of the book and the cheat sheet that comes with the deck, I learned some interesting things about The Empress.

• She is associated with the planet Venus (which is my ruling planet as a Taurus rising!).
• She represents motherhood and nurturing.
• The Empress is also associated with creativity or creation of a new life, love or idea

Very interesting card.  I can see why I was drawn to her.  :)
