Daily Tarot Card: Major Arcana – 14 – Temperance

The Temperance card is related to Sagittarius in astrology. However, when I look of it, I instantly thought of Aquarius, the water bearer. It made me think of somebody that can detach easily from one thing to another. In the Waite deck, the angel is pouring water from one cup to another. It makes me think of a person that pours their emotions into something and just as easily pour it out and into something else.
I also see a person in touch with their spiritual side, but unhappy with the daily grind. A person struggling with an emotional balance.
Some other things that I see: The ability to change one’s reality. Testing the waters for something bigger. The balance (or combination) of fire and water. A balance between psychic-minded and being grounded.
Reversed: I see a person that is really imbalanced. The water is putting out the flames. Or the water and flames not mixing at ALL. A conflicted person. A person that is out of touch with reality.

For me, Temperance is this flow of feeling, this balance of emotion you talk about–but in a way, this balance can cause stagnation too, right? I think of Libra a little bit with this one…it’s so Venusian and balanced looking. :)
