Daily Tarot Card: 3 of Swords
July 13th, 2009 by taurusrising.net received No Comments »Today’s drawing brings us the 3 of Swords.
Wow, where do I even start with this card? Looking at the 3 of Swords from the Waite deck, it is a picture of a heart with three swords piercing through it. The clouds are grey and it appears to be raining. This is a card filled with sadness, heartbreak, surffering, pain, and sorrow. Why are these swords stabbing through the heart?
The number three can represent a lack of balance. There’s two, but the third one is missing that balance. It’s causing pain for all parties involved. The two are a couple and the other is a third wheel.
The rain makes me think of a cleansing, while the clouds remind me of clouded judgement or a revelation- something needs to be changed. Everything is hazy. To clear yourself from the fog, pull the swords out and allow yourself to heal. Forgive yourself. Forgive those that have hurt you.
Reversed: With the 3 of Swords reversed, I see the swords falling from the heart. The heart may heal, but the pain is still felt. The rain is falling back into the clouds, making me think that eventually the clouds of judgement will puff up and blow away. There will always be some pain, but it’s time to move on.
