Daily Tarot Card: 4 of Pentacles
July 14th, 2009 by taurusrising.net received No Comments »Today’s drawing brings us the 4 of Pentacles.
Looking at the 4 of Pentacles from the Waite deck, I see a grumpy looking guy sitting underneath a tree. There is a little cloud, handing him a golden cup, but this guy’s arms are crossed as if he doesn’t want to accept the gift. Sitting in front of him are three more cups. He seems to be a guy that has been given many gifts, but he doesn’t want to accept or embrace them. Perhaps this guy has a calling and refuses to acknowledge it. His arms are crossed which gives me the vibe that he’s being defensive. He could also be hoarding these things, along with refusing to accept these gifts, he also does not want to share what he has.
Reversed: With the 4 of Pentacles reversed, I see the gifts spilling out from the cups. Pentacles represent Earth, so this makes me think of Earthly things– material things, financial things, posessions. These things that this guy was hoarding are now out of his control. He didn’t want to lose them and now he’s lost everything.
