Daily Tarot Card: 6 of Wands
July 17th, 2009 by taurusrising.net received No Comments »Today’s drawing brings us the 6 of Wands.
Taking a look at the image of the 6 of Wands from the Waite deck, I immediately think of a victory celebration. A man is riding in on his high horse, proudly holding up a wand with a wreath of victory. In the background, others are celebrating this person’s accomplishments as well. I also read the 6 of wands as moving past a big obstacle and landing safely on a card of some stability. The spark of life and vitality is back! The colors in this card are bright and vibrant, as well as the blue sky. This also leads me to think of happiness and optimism.
Reversed: With the 6 of Wands reversed, I see a victory that has been postponed. This could be due to some blocked energy. It’s not the time to celebrate yet, there are more obstacles to move past. Some other meanings of the 6 of Wands reversed could be: being on the losing side of a battle, and also an unrecognized victory or accomplishment. By the latter, I mean that the querent has accomplished something really significant, but may not think of it as a victory. The querent could have also been expecting a big victory party for this, but unfortunately, there are no victory chants in the crowd.
