Taurus Rising

Today’s drawing brings us the King of Swords.

When I look at the King of Swords card, I see an authority figure.  He’s an older guy, maybe a fatherly-type of guy.  He is a fair, honest, and just man.  He will do what is right, abides by the laws.  He is the man that makes the decisions, but is willing to listen to all sides of the story.  He is very wise in his ways.  He reminds me a lot of King Arthur.  I also sense some sadness.  It makes me think that things he’s done in the past (things that he regrets) has lead him to become this type of figure.

Reversed: With the King of Swords reversed, I see a person that reminds me of a corrupt politician.  He can be bought easily.  He’s a real jerk!  He doesn’t listen to anyone.  He is a very dishonest person and cannot be trusted.  He will do anything to get whatever he wants.  He will strike down anything or anybody that gets in his way.
