Daily Tarot Card: Knight of Pentacles
July 27th, 2009 by taurusrising.net received No Comments »Today’s drawing brings us the Knight of Pentacles.
I drew this card and felt like I’ve written about it in the past, but searching through my directory, I couldn’t find anything about this card. This card seems so familiar. So, here we are, Knight of Pentacles.
Looking at the Waite deck… it’s a warm, summer evening. I can hear the clip-clopping of the horse coming towards me. Finally reaching me, I meet the Knight of Pentacles. He is a messenger of sorts. He’s come to meet with a message. He has a story to tell. He has knowledge to share. He travels around, from place to place, person to person, teaching others lessons learned from life.
I also like to think of the Knight of Pentacles as that person that will astound you with useless and random facts.
To me, he seems like a mentor type of person. Like a person that will take you under their wing, teach you whatever it is that you need to know.
Basically, the Knight of Pentacles is about knowledge, teaching, and wisdom.
Reversed: With the Knight of Pentacles reversed, there is a person that is basically a stick in the mud. This person is lacking ambition, probably due to the fact that they’re not being mentally stimulated. I see this person as the person sitting in a dead-end job. This person has a lot of knowledge, a lot of brains, but it’s not being utilized properly. In other words, there’s no outlet for it it. Since their brain isn’t being used to the fullest extent, this person’s brain is turning to mush!
My keywords for the Knight of Pentacles reversed are: lazy, stubborn, lacking ambition, not challenged
