Daily Tarot Card: Knight of Wands

July 30th, 2009 by taurusrising.net received No Comments »

Today’s drawing brings us the Knight of Wands.

Fire! Fire! Fire! The Knight of Wands comes charging in with his fiery energy and loud enthusiasm for life.  He’s headstrong and so is his horse!  The Knight of Wands rushes into a situation full force.  In the Waite deck, the Knight of Wands card is full of tones in the color of red.  Red is the color of passion!

Despite the heat of the armor that he wears and the heat from the desert, this person will charge forward without regard for the consequences.

Looking into the eyes of the Knight of Wands, I also see somebody that may have some uncertainty about what they’re doing, yet they do it anyway.

This person may be lead by external forces (his wild horse), but charges forward enthusiastically.

Since the wands suit deals with the fire element, I think of all of the fiery signs in astrology: Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius.

Reversed: With the Knight of Wands reversed, I see the fire burning out in the sand.  I see passion lost.  I see somebody that has fallen off of the horse and is drowning in humilation.  The ego of the Knight of Wands is shattered to pieces.  Instead of charging through life, the Knight of Wands reversed is stuck in a position – not going anywhere.  This may indicate delays or blocks.

An alternative interpretation of the Knight of Wands reversed is a person with fiery temper.  Think of an adult with temper tantrums and bouts of rage.  This fire can be violent.
