Daily Tarot Card: Major Arcana – 0 – The Fool
July 1st, 2009 by taurusrising.net received No Comments »Today’s drawing brings us The Fool.
The Fool is the first card (numbered zero) in the Major Arcana of Tarot.
When I look at The Fool card, I see a person going on a journey. Looking at the Waite deck, I see a journey of new beginnings and exploration. The Fool is hitchhiking, but who knows where he’ll end up. He is very spontaneous and if needed, this person will pick up and go. This is indicated by the his bag. It could also represent carrying some burdens, things from the past. The Fool looks up in the sky, filled with high hopes and high expectations. The sun also represents a sense of optimism. I see a person that may be too naive. It reminds me of the kid that wants to do something “outrageous”, but doesn’t understand the realities of situations. This is also represented by the white rose The Fool is carrying. White represents innocence or purity.
Reversed: With The Fool reversed, I see a person that is stuck. This person may be “too grounded”. In other words, the type of person that looks before they leap. This person likes to play it safe and will not take risks. When seen in a reading, this could indicate that the person needs to kick it loose and take a chance.
