Flakiness and Astrology
June 20th, 2010 by taurusrising.net received 9 Comments »As a person that has Mercury and Venus in Aquarius along with a Libra moon, it is amusing for me to even be writing a post about flakiness.
I admit, I have problems with decision making. In fact, often, I wait until the last minute to decide. I like to think, “it can go either way”, while I know that this probably annoys the person (or persons) that need to know what’s up.
I’ve heard that our “weaknesses” is one of the negative things that we notice in others. It’s funny how all of that works!
Let me list some personal examples:
Going out to eat and trying to decide where to go. This is a typical discussion with a friend or my significant other:
Friend: “Where do you want to eat?”
Me: “Oh, I don’t know, where do you want to go?”
Friend: “Well, what do you want to eat?”
Me: “I’m not sure…what do you want to eat? You know what, why don’t you decide? I won’t be able to make up my mind.
Along with deciding where to eat, let me tell you–I’m not a big fan of menus with a huge selection! Often, I have to get recommendations from others.
Friend: “I want to go out and do something.”
Me: “Okay, let’s go and do something.”
Five minutes later.
Friend: “Nevermind, I don’t feel like going anywhere.”
I can’t say a lot about this, I am completely guilty of doing this as well!
Those are just a few examples that immediately come to mind. What are your experiences with astrology and flakiness?

Hi, welcome to Taurus Rising!

OK, now I'm laughing, I can totally relate to that deciding-where-to-eat bit! It's so like that everytime with my ex. But once I've made up my mind, nothing (or no one) can really change it, haha.
Despite your Taurus rising, you still are all too Air-y for comfort then? Yay!
Your Libra moon rocks.
(Libra Sun, Cancer Moon, Aquarius Rising, Virgo Mercury, Scorpio Venus)
hahahaha! LOVE da post Kat! Me and you are pretty much in this stage now, between your libra and mine!
My libra ascendant says… “hmm, i could just go out and have a good time despite the rain OR maybe I should wait for a sunny day – so that I don’t look like a drenched rat (Libra doesn’t look pretty with soggy hair and bad make-up LOL).
My Sagittarian Sun & Mercury is always game for spontaneity versus plans. Kinda like a happy puppy who enjoys chasing cars… but Ooooh! look at that red ball! Can you say Attention Deficit? heehee
Love ya girl! <3

ROFL, this is a great example. I LOVE IT! Thank you for posting it. :)
Wow! I love this! My daughter has her rising in Aquarius, Venus and Mercury in Pisces and Mars in Gemini and this sounds like one of our conversations! I'm mostly earth and water then Venus and Mercury in Libra.
Thank you for the comments! I'll post more examples. I have a lot of fun with these. :)

What I learned from experience is to decide what appeals to you first. Go with what you feel, urge, desire. If you feel like sushi, going to a movie (a new one that you'd really love to see), just walk around an outdoor mall, go for frozen yogurt, etc. Then when your friend calls or you invite your friend, tell them what you'd like to do or where you want to go. If not, do you really want their company? Sounds like they're exciting company as a dead fly.
If they're flaky, more than likely they'll go along with the idea. Flaky to me though is them blowing off a planned date or get together at the last minute or not compromising to enjoy each other's company and planning everything all the time (even though you're not into it). Astrologically, I'm not sure how to translate this. I'm Sagitarius. But, if you hang out with a flake, it will be an uneventful time. What's that saying, "misery loves company."
I agree with flaky as blowing off a date… I really should have titled the post about "indecisiveness". :)
