A Tarot Question: How do you read for yourself?

October 20th, 2009 by taurusrising.net received 9 Comments »
A Tarot Question

A Tarot Question

I’ve been having problems reading Tarot cards lately.  Particularly for myself.  I never know what to ask the cards and often – the question that I do want to ask – I’m afraid of seeing the answers.

Then, there is the process of actually reading the cards.  When I ask my cards a question – how do I know if I am reading intuitively or if I am being biased.  For instance, if I’m afraid of seeing the answers – what if I see what I’m afraid of?  If I really want to see positive answers, what if I see what I want to see?

The joys of being a Tarot reading newbie.  :)

I’d appreciate any input on this question.  Thanks in advance!

3 Card Focus: 7 of Wands reversed, Ace of Pentacle...

October 19th, 2009 by taurusrising.net received 4 Comments »
Don't let the emotions drown everything else out.

Don't let the emotions drown everything else out.

Here is the 3 Card Focus for the week of: October 18, 2009 – October 24, 2009.
This week’s drawing revolves around the cards: 7 of Wands reversed, Ace of Pentacles, Queen of Cups reversed.

7 of Wands reversed: You may be at a position where others are feeling envious or jealous of you.  Unfortunately, with some fame or recognition, others may try and go out of their way to bring you down.  Don’t let their efforts get to you.  Move on, stay strong, and realize “this too shall pass”.

Ace of Pentacles: You have been given the raw materials of being grounded and having common sense.  You have the ability to recognize or realize what will work or what won’t work for your project.  You have a good support system and a great foundation for working towards your cause.

Queen of Cups reversed:  You may be stuck in an emotional rut.  You may be feeling like you’re on an emotional rollercoaster and maybe things aren’t going your way.  When your emotions rain, it pours.  It may be drenching those around you.

Thoughts: I see a person that has reached the top level of one of their goals.  However, it has brought on some people that may be working (behind the scenes) to “get” to this person.  Don’t let this bother you, don’t worry so much.  You have a bunch of people that support you.  Stay positive and keep working toward your cause.

What have I been doing?

October 16th, 2009 by taurusrising.net received 4 Comments »

Making a ListI haven’t been around lately and I do apologize.  I feel guilty for neglecting my own blog!  However, the good bits are that I have been learning a lot in my absence here.  I’ve been learning a lot on the new forums (sorry, have to pimp it out again – I really am learning a lot!), new friends, and just a newfound understanding of things.  It’s almost as if I finally “get it”.  Anyway, I plan on writing on these topics whenever I get a chance:

  • lunar nodes and spiritual life lessons
  • astrology progressions
  • transits!
  • dream interpretations <- just love these!
  • intercepted houses/planets

Of course, I need to do a lot of research on these… knowledge is awesome.  As you can see, I’ve also become more into astrology than Tarot lately, but like my Aquarius Mercury influences – my little obsessions change from week-to-week.  :)

Wednesday's Waking Moments

Wednesday's Waking Moments

As I mentioned in my previous blog entry (Have your dream interpreted by the AstroCreeps and TarotFreaks!), I am working on a series of dream interpretations for the blog.  However, that doesn’t mean that I will discontinue my dream interpretations on here.  I will continue to write about them as well as offer some tips on interpreting dreams yourself.

If you are interested in having your dream interpreted – send your dream to: dreams@astrocreepsandtarotfreaks.com – it is free, but I cannot guarantee that your dream will be selected.

Check out my first blog post for Wednesday’s Waking Moments.  It is a long entry, but it will give you an idea of how I like to interpret and my writing style.

3 Card Focus: The Emperor reversed, Strength rever...

Don't let anyone hold you back from getting the wheels in motion.

Don't let anyone hold you back from getting the wheels in motion.

Here is the 3 Card Focus for the week of: October 11, 2009 – October 17, 2009.
This week’s drawing revolves around the cards: The Emperor reversed, Strength reversed, and The Chariot reversed.

The Emperor, reversed: With The Emperor in its upright position, it is a person that has some kind of authority.  It’s most likely a father figure, the head of the household, or perhaps even a boss.  It’s somebody that is respected.  When The Emperor is in its reversed position, we see a person that is abusing their power.  Perhaps a person that is losing authority.

Strength, reversed: This represents being afraid to face your fears.  Letting fear hold you back from something that has the potential to better yourself.  Fear of reaching a deeper sense of understanding.  This is being afraid and letting your fear hold you back from where you want to be.

The Chariot, reversed: The inability to move forward. There are roadblocks on the way, and they have prevented you from reaching or completing your goals.

Thoughts:  I see a person of authority that is holding you back from completing your goals.  This person is using their power to overpower you.  It’s a person that you may have a lot of respect for, perhaps a person that is talking you down – making you doubt yourself or your abilities.  All of these negative thoughts have brought some fear or anxiety into you.  You may be afraid to pursue your goals, because there’s that fear of failure.  So in return, this has stopped you from moving forward on your journey.

I thought that it was interesting that the cards drawn this week are part of the Major Arcana.  The Major Arcana represents the trials and learnings of life, through The Fool’s Journey.  So, my interpretation is that these are the beginning stages of something grand – and there are basically, there are roadblocks.

Overall, these cards read to me as:  Don’t let somebody bring you down and question your abilities.  Pursue your goals.  There is that fear of failure, but without taking chances, you’ll never know how the situation will end the other way around.  Take the chance and get the wheels turning, this will help you move forward.

3 Card Focus: Knight of Swords reversed, 3 of Pent...

October 7th, 2009 by taurusrising.net received No Comments »
All fluff, no action.

All fluff, no action.

This week’s 3 Card Focus revolves around the Knight of Swords reversed, 3 of Pentacles reversed, and the Knight of Pentacles reversed.

Knight of Swords reversed: All fluff, no stuff.  There’s a lot of talking and talking and talking and talking… and while this isn’t usually a bad thing, it becomes a bad thing when you work with others and can’t back up all of your “talk”.

3 of Pentacles reversed: Some work is completed, but there is no pride to show it off.  Unfortunately, the inability to show off the work has brought the project to a halt.  There are missing pieces to the puzzle – maybe a weak foundation.

Knight of Pentacles, reversed: There’s the need to reap the rewards, while being lazy to do anything.  If any work is being done, sloppiness is making itself evident.

Thoughts: If you are going to work with others, remember to keep your promises or stay true to your words.  In other words, don’t be all talk.  Make an effort or do something, to back your words.  If you don’t have enough pride to bring your work to the table, it doesn’t help the team.  Communicate with them, tell them what is going on.  It can make things worse when they think you aren’t doing your share.  And laziness is not the way to get rewarded.

I thought it was interesting to see two Knights reversed here – especially since Knights represent the next stage in development (from Pages) – learning and action.  With the two Knights reversed, I see no action – it’s come to a halt for some reason.  Another interesting thing, was the two reversed Pentacles.  Pentacles represent “reality” in the sense of stability, finances, and possessions.

Altogether in one sentence, these cards read to me as: All talk and no action won’t get you rewarded.
