Review: Conquer The Universe With Astrology: Love And Seduction By Starlight

Love And Seduction By Starlight is the third installment in Matthew Currie‘s series of books, Conquer the Universe with Astrology. Like the rest of the books in this series, Currie uses a witty and humorous approach in describing astrological placements. Out of the three books so far, this is by far, the best one in the series!

In 68-pages, Currie discusses the planets that can influence the type of person you’re attracted to along. This book also shows you how you can win that certain person you’re interested in.

Love And Seduction By Starlight begins with discussing the most important planet in a person’s chart – the Sun sign. Currie also discusses the emotional influence of the Moon sign, the influence of personal planets, then he goes through a sign-by-sign “Guide to Compatibility”.

Instead of using the same format for “Guide of Compatibility”, Currie writes stories with different themes for each sign. For example, for my Sun sign, Pisces, he talks about their compatibility with other signs through the fairy tale of Goldilocks and The Three Bears.

My favorite part of the book was where he wrote about Mars placements and then added quotes as if it were being explained by Chef Gordon Ramsay. I’m a big fan of Hell’s Kitchen, so I could really imagine Chef Ramsay screaming out these things.

Overall, another humorous and wonderful book by Matthew Currie!

I was able to review Matthew the Astrologer‘s second book in his series of, Conquer the Universe with Astrology. I’m not sure how many books he’s planning to make for the series, but let me tell you, this book is another wonderful read!

His first book, Conquer the Universe with Astrology, Book One: Aspects, was a great starter reference for those new to planetary aspects and an all-around reference for learning about the angles and degrees. (You can read my review about his first book, here!)

Did you know that there’s actually more to astrology than just the Sun sign? There is! In Matthew Currie’s second book in the series, he writes about understanding the dynamics of the Sun sign and the Moon sign. With that information, there are 144 possible combinations of Sun/Moon signs. The Sun, representing the big ego and the Moon representing your reaction to things, emotions, and basic needs.

This was a great read and I thorougly enjoyed it. As I said about Book One in his series, it is very different from other astrology books. Currie writes in easy-to-understand language as well as lots of wit and humor. If you’re an astrology buff or rookie like me, you’ll enjoy reading his descriptions about Sun and Moon signs.

I am really looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Review: Conquer the Universe with Astrology, Book One: Aspects!

I heard calls for reviews of Matthew The Astrologer’s new e-book, Conquer the Universe with Astrology, Book One: Aspects! Being pretty much a newbie to astrology, I answered the call. Not only did I get a great book to review, it’s also written by awesome astrologer, Matthew Currie!

The book begins in a way that immediately grabs the reader. The first page immediately sucked me in, with his wit and humor. Humor and astrology? You don’t see that often (or at least, I don’t), but I was cracking up and found myself really looking forward to the following pages.

One of the first things that Currie discusses is planetary aspects (okay, I’m stating the obvious). I admit, I’m a complete moron when it comes to numbers. I think that the reason I that I haven’t gotten past general astrology knowledge (sun/moon/rising, planets, and houses) is because I despise numbers. I don’t get angles and degrees. I’m just not a numbers kind of gal.

I was absolutely thrilled to read Currie’s explanation on how the angles work. He talks about it in very simple everyday terminology. Anybody that is familiar with clocks and pies could understand this. After reading it, I felt enlightened with my newfound knowledge of angles, degrees, and sign placements.

After he explains how the angles, he gives more detail on conjunctions, trines, squares, oppositions and the minor aspects.

Currie also gives summaries on every possible planetary aspect.

Overall, I found this to be a very awesome and informational book. As a person that has read many astrology books, this book was the only one I’ve read where I came out understanding angles and aspects.

I am really looking forward to Book Two of his Conquer the Universe with Astrology series.
